Hij is een gediplomeerde, toegewijde en ervaren humanitaire hulpverlener die zich heeft gespecialiseerd op het terrein van<br \/>\nnoodbulletins, snelle beoordelingen, het in kaart brengen van de markt in noodsituaties, analyses van responsopties en programmering van geldoverboekingen.<\/p>\n<p>Hij werkt momenteel als ICT & Geographic Information Officer bij de Gambia National Disaster Management Agency. In 2014\/2015 was hij GeoData Management Officer en lid van het IT supportteam bij de Wereldbank in het kader van een project inzake sociale ontwikkeling in steden en op het platteland. In zijn loopbaan heeft hij ervaring opgedaan met het plannen, uitvoeren en evalueren van en rapporteren over programma\u2019s die voorzien in zowel directe noodhulp als duurzame lokale ontwikkeling.<\/p>\n<p>Edriss begeleidde de distributie van essenti\u00eble voedingswaren en supplementen en de levering van logistieke en technische ondersteuning aan ngo\u2019s en VN-organen. Zoals hij zelf zegt: \u2018Deze ervaring in humanitaire hulpverlening heeft me kennis en inzicht bezorgd op het gebied van humanitaire noodsituaties, maar me ook het belang doen beseffen van het ontwikkelen van duurzame programma\u2019s voor gemeenschapsontwikkeling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Edriss trad in 2012 in dienst bij Yepafrica op aanraden van zijn broer Alhasan, die hem de filosofie achter Yepafrica uitlegde.  Naar eigen zeggen heeft Edriss geen moment getwijfeld om een sollicitatieformulier aan te vragen zodat hij deel kon gaan uitmaken van een organisatie die levens kan veranderen. Edriss zegt nu dat Yepafrica veel meer was dan hij ooit verwachtte en dat het niet alleen zijn leven, maar ook zijn manier van denken en handelen heeft veranderd.
